Chlorine bleach has been a common household staple for years to clean, disinfect, and whiten. Bleach is one of the most harmful chemicals we can keep in our homes. Not only is it harmful if swallowed, it can cause severe skin burns, eye damage, respiratory irritation, and is very toxic to aquatic life.
Molly’s Suds Oxygen Whitener is a natural bleach alternative with 4 simple (and safe) ingredients (sodium percarbonate, sodium carbonate, citric acid, and organic lemon essential oil) that can whiten and brighten dull & dingy clothing. It can also be used for stain treating and assorted tasks around the home!
The ingredients in our Oxygen Whitener naturally break down hard water minerals that are left behind in your clothing and break down stains. Oxygen Whitener is not a detergent; but a laundry additive/booster that works best with our Molly’s Suds Original Laundry Detergent or Super Powder.
To use Oxygen Whitener as a whitener & brightener: Add 1-2 scoops to your pre-wash hot water cycle. If your machine has a soak cycle you could also add 1-2 scoops to a hot water soak for 30 minutes before washing as usual.
To use Oxygen Whitener as a booster and to help remove hard water minerals: Add 1 scoop to your washing machine to use as a booster with any of our Molly’s Suds laundry detergents.
To use Oxygen Whitener as a stain remover: Make a paste with hot water and rub directly into the stain, let sit, rinse, and wash as usual.
Alternative Uses for Molly’s Suds Oxygen Whitener
Pots & Pans – Sprinkle on the bottom of your pots & pans that have stuck on food. Activate with hot water and let sit for at least 15 minutes. Scrub, rinse, and was as usual with Dish Soap.
Kitchen Sink – Add a scoop to your wet sink, scrub clean, and rinse.
Tile & Grout – Apply a scoop to wet tile and grout, gently scrub, and rinse.
Toilet Bowl Cleaner – Sprinkle a scoop of Oxygen Whitener to your toilet bowl, let sit for 15-30 minutes, scrub, and rinse.
Soap Scum – Apply a scoop to wet bathtub or shower, gently scrub, and rinse.
Mop Solution – For vinyl or tile flooring, add a scoop of Oxygen Whitener to hot water and mop floors! We do not recommend this method on hardwood flooring.
Carpet Cleaner – Add a scoop of Oxygen Whitener and hot water to your carpet cleaning machine to naturally brighten dingy carpets.
