At Molly’s Suds headquarters we run a lean and mean team.
Everyone wears multiple hats, which means no day is exactly the same. Team Molly’s Suds is known for their adaptability which gives them the keen ability to always be thinking on their feet. We all do our own grunt work, and we pitch in to help each other out.
But who are these people behind the scenes – the faces behind the brand? Where do new product ideas come from? How do orders get fulfilled?
And who is the Laundry Guru anyway?
We thought it would be fun to answer these questions and more in our new Molly’s Suds Employee Spotlight! Every few months we’ll introduce you to a different team member, share a little about how they contribute to our family-owned company, and hopefully give you another reason to love Molly’s Suds.
First up, we’re pleased to introduce our Customer Service Specialist, Dawn!
A native of St. Petersburg, Florida, Dawn was a stay-at-home mom of three before responding to an ad placed by our founder Monica in 2014. She didn’t know it at the time, but her get’er done attitude and deep well of patience would be her best assets in her role at Molly’s Suds, better known as “The Laundry Guru.”
Dawn engages with customers daily, answering questions about how to use our products, troubleshooting ordering issues, and generally ensuring that folks have the best possible experience with our brand. We asked Dawn a little more about her connection to our company, and this is what she shared:
Q: What is your favorite Molly’s Suds product and why?
A: The Wool Dryer Balls! I feel like I’m always running – to work, back home to my family or off to the gym. Cutting down drying time with these babies is just the kind of time-saving solution I need!
Q: Ohh, good one! We encourage customers to customize their laundry’s scent by adding 10-12 drops of essential oils to our Wool Dryer Balls. What is your favorite scent?
A: Lemon. Any and all things lemon!
Q: What were your first impressions of Molly’s Suds? Why do you enjoy being part of the company?
A: To be honest, before working at Molly’s Suds I did not know much about the natural product industry. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time so far. I have learned so much and love being able to share great products with my family and friends.
Q: Which of our Core Values resonates most strongly with you? Why?
A: Staying Mindful of People & The Environment- when it comes to my position as the customer service liaison it is important for me to be able to relate to what the customer’s needs and concerns are. I like to put myself in their situation so I can help assist to the best of my ability. If I can teach the customer something new that they didn’t know before, it’s just an added bonus along the way!
Beyond her customer service duties, Dawn also helps to source packaging, services our Florida-based brick-and-mortar retailers, and even gets in the warehouse to pitch in with packing and shipping orders.
We honestly can’t imagine how our company would run without her!
If you know our story, you know our company was founded by a pediatric nurse and mom, and because we’re a modest-sized group of tightly-knit employees, we think of each other like family.
We know when someone is having a hard day, we celebrate each other’s personal and professional milestones, and we work together to build this brand with products that are Always Safe for people & the planet.
